I decided to sell/transfer my Drone web site and other content to my friends at Dronelife.com. A Press Release is below. I started Droneflyers for two reasons – one was interest in the subject, the other was to see if a successful web site could be created this late in the game! My earlier web site site, hearth.com, was started in 1996 where the game was often “first mover”. Now the internet is different. Much of this is explained in the blogging I did when starting the site.
The entire venture has been profitable and very interesting and educational. I will remain a Drone enthusiast as it is one more method of photography…which I love! I will eventually post a link to a collection of my best Drone pics and vids! You can still find all the drone info and articles at the Droneflyers.com site.
Press Release:
DRONELIFE Expands Drone Presence with Acquisition of DroneFlyers DRONELIFE today announced that they have acquired respected resource for remote pilots Droneflyers.com, adding a new site to their ecosystem of drone media and services.
Nashua, NH, August 15, 2018 –(PR.com)– The largest global news and information network in the commercial drone space has added a new property focused on products and education. DRONELIFE is pleased to announce the addition of Droneflyers.com and associated Domain Names and web properties to their drone-focused ecosystem.
DRONELIFE today announced that they have acquired respected resource for remote pilots Droneflyers.com, adding a new site to their ecosystem of drone media.
Droneflyers.com was founded in 2013 by veteran web and technology publisher Craig Issod, and has become one of the leading sources of information for the consumer end of the drone marketplace. Featuring e-books, beginners guides, product reviews and training resources, Droneflyers offers a wealth of resources for drone pilots at every level.
The addition of Droneflyers to our properties will bring a new and trusted voice in the consumer drone space into our fold, says DRONELIFE CEO Harry McNabb. Unlike many me too Drone sites which publish mostly industry press releases or rumors, Droneflyers has focused on education and on the business aspect of the consumer drone field. We are excited to expand our coverage with this unique point of view.
Craig Issod, who has been an online and web pioneer since 1986, will help with the transition and be available to consult for the new combined entity. He will also be working for other companies and individuals in the fields of innovation, technology, publishing and marketing. More information on Craigs activities and services can be found at Craigsfire.com.
Craig said of the acquisition, I was looking for a well respected source in the drone space to continue the work at DroneFlyers. DroneLife is well respected in the industry and DroneFlyers makes a very logical fit for where the industry is going.
With the addition of Droneflyers.com, the DRONELIFE network becomes a one-stop marketing powerhouse for companies wishing to reach the most qualified and targeted audience in the UAV space. Please contact Harry McNabb at harry@dronelife.com for more information.
